Historic Halloween Tours

Halloween is upon us once again!  While I am not one for traditional haunted houses, Halloween-themed historic tours are more my speed, and there is no shortage of spooky tours in the Dayton area to check out this October.

Take a guided haunted history walk through downtown Centerville.  Tours depart from the Asahel Wright House at 6 pm, but be sure to check in starting at 5:30 pm.  Tickets cost $25, and they promise spooktacular fun! (Must be 21 or older)

History Mystery, Murder, and Mayhem – Woodland Cemetery

Come hear true stories of Dayton’s greatest mysteries as part of a walking tour through Woodland Cemetery.  These tours run Monday through Thursday in October with the final tour being on October 25th.  Tours begin at 6:30 pm and are free to the public (donations are always appreciated), but RSVPs are required.

I love the idea of Halloween, but I HATE being startled.  So, if you’re like me, consider coming out to one or more of these events and enjoy the season in a more laid back setting.  I’m really looking forward to the coming holiday and I hope you are too!
